FAQ
-
At the moment, I’m not doing night shifts. I have two of my own younger kids (6 and 13) that I also homeschool! But I can link you up with some night shift options.
-
Yes! I would love to chat on the phone and figure out which aspects are important to you so we can create a custom plan that also works with your budget.
-
No I don’t, but we can chat about what you might not like about it and see if we can still harness some of the value from these types of foods to support your healing. Also, a lot of your typical comfort foods can be modified to be more nourishing and easily digestible during your postpartum.
-
At the moment, a lot of insurance companies aren’t covering postpartum doula services. However, I am approved to accept Carrot Insurance (offered by some employers) and HSA/FSA accounts can usually be used towards doula support. Always a good idea to call your insurance companies and see what they support specifically for coverage and HSA/FSA usage and their requirements for reimbursement.
-
Unfortunately, I’m not set up to accept medicaid at the moment.
-
Absolutely. These are similar times of exhaustion and body changes, but often accompanied with grief. This is also a really important time to have support- mentally and physically and to be nourished and held.
-
Yes, they are higher. I strongly value my 15 years of mother baby, labor and nicu nursing experience as well as my time spent in learning and practicing ayurveda. My quality of post partum doula care, understanding of the body and it’s warning signs, hands on breastfeeding experience all stem from my thousands of hours helping fresh families as a nurse. This is a value that most other doulas don’t have and I think it truly strengthens my postpartum doula scope.

I’m happy to wash dishes, sweep, tidy rooms and counters, and fold laundry. While I would love to be able to offer you full deep cleaning services (scrubbing tubs and toilets etc.) also, I believe my time is better spend Nourishing you. But let me know if you need housekeeping service recommendations. Sometimes, all we need is a good tidy to feel more relaxed in our minds!
